Since the release of the RPS 2 and 3, there is a real interest in the RPS 2 (Intel Atom 2) and RPS 3 (AMD Athlon 64). We manage to maintain the stock of RPS 3 to a correct level, but not yet for the RPS 2. We think that within 10 days, everything will be back to normal and all RPS deliveries will be deployed as usual in 1 hour.
There is nothing to report on Kimsufi. Everything is going well, except XL with which we are regularly out of stock. But the situation is solved in 48H each time. We keep going on.
Many of you switch form Kimsufi to PRO offers. EG Offer became our new best-seller. Monday or Tuesday everything will be delivered. We need to increase the production significantly to better synchronize with your needs.
Some delays on the MG Large and HG Large prove your interest to the servers with a large storage capacity and excellent Internet connection. We are working on solving this small backlog in delivery.
Here are some statistics regarding the access speed on the hard drives of the Kimsufi range. Next week we will publish the equivalent to the PRO range and specially SSD servers (with Intel SSD X25-M disks and SDD X25-E). The random entries of EG SSD are 22 times faster than on EG Max. Even if some of you consider that the DSS is not yet ready (due to bad experiences on SSD disks of different brands) thanks to the new Intel SSD disk, this kind of SSD servers will quickly becoming the platform for SQL, databases and replace servers with SAS 10000tr/min or 15000tr/min discs. Indeed, the parallel access to data, records and updates of small files are much more performance on SSD servers than in a SAS. The figures arrive next week.
Regards,
Octave
