View Full Version : Bandwidth capped at 11.2MB/s between kimsufi servers?

Hi,

I just bought a new kimsufi server and have been copying data from a friends kimsufi server (that this will replace) on the same network, but was surprised to see that the bandwidth appears limited to 11.2MB/s between them. Both servers are well within the 3TB transfer limit, so I would have thought this should be moving at a much faster rate since they are advertised as 100MB/s guaranteed bandwidth up to the 3TB cap.

Does this sound correct? Is there something I am not aware of about limits within the OVH network?

Thanks.

Possibly just inconsistent use of units? MB/s vs Mb/s.

11.2 MB/s I would take to mean megabytes/sec, i.e. about 100 Mbits/sec (Mb/s)

Most Kimsufi boxes have 100 Mbit/sec NICs unless you pay the extra for 1 Gbit/sec.
