Hi,

I currently rent a Kimsufi 4T from kimsufi.com... Although i'm very satisfied with its specs and speed, I notice huge HDD bottlenecks on a regular base when performing lots of reads & writes simultaniously.

The HDD's being used in the server are the 2TB Green series from WD. Those disk 'only' run at 5,900RPM and deliver substantially less performance when compared to the black series (for example) or other HDDs running at 7,200RPM or more.

My question is: Is it possible for me to upgrade to another type of HDD and/or to add a 3th HDD, maybe SSD, for the OS? If so, what would be the extra costs/month?

Now I know this is the kimsufi.co.uk forum & not .com but at least this one is in English.

So, anybody here that can enlighten me:
- if that's possible,
- what options are available,
- what the costs would be.

Many thanks in advance for your time!

Best regards,
Bak

Hi Bak,

No you can't upgrade your kimsufi like this, the closest would be to add external usb disks to the server: http://www.ovh.co.uk/items/usb_disk.xml

Or you could consider our Professional range instead:
