Cannot access server [Archive]

Had an issue with a program today, so decided to restart our server. Now I cannot access it. I have tried to login using vnc and putty, to no avail. However, I can still login using an ftp client (ssh).

I have put in a tech support request, but that was early this morning and I haven't heard anything.

Anyone have any ideas?

The commonly used ports are all closed, actually they're all closed. Did you setup a firewall or something? What port are you using for ftp?

I have a firewall, but I've had it installed since I set up the server, and nothing has changed as far as I know...

How can I log in to check the firewall?

I have started in rescue mode today (about 3 hours ago), and I still haven't had the login email... Is there a problem?
